MSS Security is seeking a dedicated and professional Casual Security Officers to join our Launceston team and service our high-profile government clients. This is a static guard role, ideal for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a professional, courteous and helpful point of contact for staff and visitors, assisting with general inquiries and directions.
- Respond appropriately and promptly to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors.
- Monitor and control access points to the building, ensuring only authorised personnel are granted entry.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain high-security standards and resolve any issues that arise.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deescalate tense situations.
- A readiness, confidence and assertiveness to manage challenging situations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights.
- Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.
- Valid Tasmanian Security licence.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
- Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).
