About the Role
MSS Security is looking for part-time Security Officers to join our team at the University of Melbourne’s Burnley campus. This is a permanent, part-time night shift role. You’ll work as part of a dedicated, customer-focused team, ensuring the safety of staff and visitors, conducting regular foot patrols across the campus, and providing assistance where needed in a dynamic, active and professional environment.
MSS Security is looking for part-time Security Officers to join our team at the University of Melbourne’s Burnley campus. This is a permanent, part-time night shift role. You’ll work as part of a dedicated, customer-focused team, ensuring the safety of staff and visitors, conducting regular foot patrols across the campus, and providing assistance where needed in a dynamic, active and professional environment.
Key Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct regular foot patrols across the campus, primarily outdoors
- Assist visitors with directions and navigation, including escorting them across the campus if required
- Ensure that campus property is securely locked and unlocked as necessary
- Write detailed reports in response to incidents
- Communicate clearly and calmly with stakeholders across the University
Requirements:
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
- Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current driver’s license
- Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster
- Employee working with children's check or willing to obtain
- Ability to walk extended distances as part of duties
- Strong communication skills
- Strong ability to write detailed and accurate incident reports
