Our client is a fast-growing AI-powered marketing automation startup.

They are building an intelligent campaign automation platform that uses AI to automate digital advertising campaign creation and management across dozens of ad platforms including Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok, DV360, The Trade Desk, Reddit, and more.

The platform reduces campaign setup time from hours to minutes.

Senior engineers in this team have real product ownership, shape technical strategy, and help define the foundation of AI-driven products used by modern marketing teams.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer fluent in AI-assisted development workflows — someone who actively uses modern AI coding tools to build and ship production systems.

This role requires hands-on experience using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar to:

• Describe system requirements in natural language

• Generate production-grade backend code

• Review, test, and iterate on AI-generated output

• Ship complete backend modules efficiently

This is not about basic autocomplete usage. We are looking for engineers already building real systems through AI-augmented workflows.

• AI document processing pipelines (PDF/Excel campaign extraction using multi-model AI)

• Email-to-campaign workflow automation

• Real-time orchestration systems with parallel processing and retry logic

• Scalable backend services powering AI-driven marketing automation

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale backend platform components

• Architect reusable, composable backend systems

• Collaborate closely with product to accelerate feature delivery

• Set technical direction for platform architecture

• Rapidly prototype new AI-driven features

• Leverage AI tools to significantly increase development velocity

Requirements

• Proven experience using AI coding tools to build real production features

• 4+ years backend or platform engineering experience

• Experience building scalable distributed systems

• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA)

• Experience in startup or fast-moving environments

• Strong ownership mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity

• Comfortable working across infrastructure, services, and APIs

• Product-oriented engineering mindset

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Fluent Mandarin (required)

Nice to Have

• Experience with NLP or ML models

• REST API design and integration experience

• React or frontend framework experience

• English proficiency for technical documentation

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar AI frameworks
