DDS IT is looking for a hands-on Senior IT Support Specialist to deliver advanced onsite and remote support within a major enterprise environment. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving complex issues, working directly with end users, and taking ownership of service quality.

You’ll provide Level 2 technical support across devices, systems, and applications, acting as a trusted onsite specialist while collaborating with wider support teams to keep users productive and secure.

Description:
This is primarily an onsite role in Hamilton.

  • Onsite presence at the client’s Hamilton location, can sometimes be hybrid.
  • Weekly visits to the Huntly site (required)
  • Occasional travel to other North Island sites (approx. 2–3 times per year)
  • Flexibility to work across multiple client environments (e.g. Service Desk phone queue cover)
What you’ll be doing

The Senior IT Support Specialist provides advanced technical support for end-user devices, IT systems, and applications, focusing on onsite and remote support services for DDS IT's clients. This role entails delivering Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring high levels of end-user satisfaction. The specialist also collaborates with internal teams to maintain IT infrastructure and share knowledge. The role is part of an IT Support Services team that supports DDS IT's comprehensive service offerings, including remote and on-site support for end-users, hardware troubleshooting, device management, asset tagging, planned system checks, and response to cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

Skills and Experiences:
What we’re looking for

You’ll bring solid Level 2 support experience in a managed services or enterprise environment and a strong customer-first mindset.

  • 3–5+ years’ IT support experience
  • Strong Microsoft stack experience (Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/ Entra ID)
  • Experience troubleshooting complex end-user and device issues
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow, Ivanti)
  • Knowledge of device deployment tools (Intune/Autopilot)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • ITIL Foundation (preferred)
