Your role at a glance
As the Senior Manager of Portfolio Management, you will provide strategic direction and oversight across all facets of your assigned portfolios.Drawing on deep expertise in financial, operational, and asset-lifecycle management, you will lead end-to-end portfolio performance initiatives that drive sustainable value and growth.
You will serve as a key business partner and advisor, collaborating closely with sales, operations, finance, and legal teams to optimize asset profitability, strengthen cross-functional alignment, and support enterprise-level decision-making.
Through strong leadership and analytical insight, you will ensure the portfolio delivers strong current performance while supporting the company’s future goals.
What we are looking for
Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and strategic oversight for one or more assets within the NTT GDC Global data center portfolio, including stabilized operational sites and, in select cases, development assets. Champion a performance-driven culture across assigned asset teams. Lead cross-functional collaboration with the Business Case, FP&A, Sales, Power Management, Operations, Accounting, and other teams to establish a robust baseline for asset decision-making, benchmarking, and performance tracking. Guide teams in challenging and validating key assumptions that influence asset strategy and outcomes. Oversee monthly asset-level financial performance (P&L), initiate and lead Task Force meetings, and direct regular asset evaluations. Ensure transparency of results, accountability for deliverables, and timely execution of improvement plans. Partner with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Product, Operations, and other stakeholders to drive portfolio optimization efforts. Provide strategic leadership and recommendations regarding asset actions (e.g., optimization, divestment, closure) and communicate these effectively to senior leadership. Lead the design, implementation, and tracking of asset optimization initiatives aimed at improving profitability. Coordinate financial and technical resources, remove obstacles, and ensure clear ownership and measurable outcomes for all improvement activities. Work with Sales, Product, and other stakeholders to direct rent and lease management processes. Ensure teams assess client mix, lease margins, and financial impacts of leasing decisions—including inducements, pricing, escalations, and contract duration—and make recommendations aligned with asset performance goals. Guide the development of an Asset Book (Building Management Plan) in collaboration with technical asset management and relevant partners. Ensure documentation captures asset characteristics (age, square footage, equipment overview, TCO) and outlines a long-term asset strategy informed by client mix and business priorities. Provide leadership in identifying, sharing, and operationalizing internal and external best practices in asset operations. Champion continuous improvement across the portfolio and ensure lessons learned are adopted consistently across relevant assets. Coach and mentor team members and cross-functional contributors, fostering strong analytical capabilities, operational discipline, and a data-driven decision-making mindset. Knowledge and Attributes: Proven record in Finance, background in reporting, accounting, forecasting & budgeting. Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic business partner to senior leadership. Significant experience in commercial real estate infrastructure investment or asset management with an understanding of the factors influencing asset performance. Strong understanding of the business of Real Estate (and ideally data centers, data center operations, design & engineering, pre-sales/sales) and a strong analytical skillset to apply that understanding. An understanding of machinery & equipment is a distinct advantage when collaborating with the operations team and communicating asset specific nuances which may impact performance. Proven track record of leading and working in internal and external cross-cultural and/or cross-functional project teams with the ability to conduct and prepare comprehensive and detailed data analysis and actionable output reports for stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in manipulating large data sets using advanced excel functions for extracting strategic insight. Strategic thinker with a structured, results-oriented approach and the ability to anticipate risks, opportunities, and long-term implications. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team guidance, stakeholder alignment, and the ability to drive accountability and performance across a matrixed organization. Outstanding relationship-builder, both internally and externally. Ability to work in multinational and interdisciplinary teams. Technical mind-set with commercial acumen. Proactive problem-solver with a resilient, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to take ownership of outcomes. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required to effectively communicate with our English-speaking clientele and team members. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or related field; A Master’s degree in Finance or similar professional qualification such as CAIA/ACCA/CPA is a plus. Advanced skills in MS Excel and competent in the use of software products including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to guide teams, develop talent, and influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization. PMP certification and/or Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black belt) certification preferred Required experience: 8+ years of relevant financial portfolio experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or cross-functional management capacity. Additional Requirements: Must have flexible work schedule to accommodate across global business hours Travel will be required, up to 10%.Who we are
