Senior Network Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB:

  • Maintain and upgrade the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) network and its connectivity to other offices, regional exchanges, colocation sites, and clients.
  • Provide network design, solution deployment, and technical documentation for network and security-related equipment such as LAN, WAN, and Data Center networks.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs, ensuring availability, stability, scalability, and security while adhering to company standards.
  • Contribute to transformational projects in the APAC region.
  • Optimize tools for the network infrastructure team, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Understand regional business requirements and collaborate with central engineering teams to develop appropriate technical solutions in line with global infrastructure standards.
  • Gather business requirements, define, document, and communicate solutions to relevant parties, and oversee or implement those solutions with the central team.
  • Create and implement Network Automation Scripts and tools using programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or Ansible).

ABOUT YOU

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in network deployment services, with at least 2 years in the finance industry.
  • Expertise in exchange connectivity and trading network infrastructure design, implementation, and support (CCIE certification is a strong plus).
  • Hands-on experience with network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and network management tools (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Micro Focus, Zabbix).
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IP multicast, QoS, VPC, VRF, spanning tree, Data Center setup, and Cisco ISE, with strong deployment and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting/analysis tools such as Zabbix, MFNA, Solarwinds, WireShark, CPacket, SevOne, etc.
  • Familiar with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL framework.
  • Proficiency in managing complex IT projects, from proposal writing and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Exceptional documentation and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $8,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
