Qualified Senior Motor Technician

Calling any suitable technicians in the North West area or looking to relocate to the wonderful Sligo. We have recently moved to our new state of the art dealership in Sligo town and this now offers us the opportunity to run a larger more expansive workshop.

At Porter Ford, our Service and Repair Technicians are the backbone of our aftersales business, with all new and used cars and vans that we sell as well as all repair and warranty customer vehicles passing through the department. This role is for a key senior technician who will be able to and capable of influencing and bringing experience to our service workshop.

In this role you will…

· ✔ Diagnose and problem solve: Work with our brand diagnostic equipment, consult with our service team and use your experience to diagnose issues and problems;

· ✔ Service, repair and improve: Working with Ford specific software and advanced tools you will be performing repairs and maintenance on all types of Ford vehicles;

· ✔ Ensure top quality: Fix it right first time, we trust you to inspect our vehicles diligently before return and pre-delivery;

· ✔ Collaborate: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including Service Advisors, Parts Executives, Sales People, Ford Technical staff and sometimes customers effectively and in a high paced environment;

· ✔ Develop: Setting you up for success the Ford training teams offer a blended learning strategy to help develop your technical skills. And by also sharing your own skills and knowledge with the team, you’re a part of driving the whole group forward.

· ✔ Future: You will be keen to progress your qualifications to become a Ford Master Technician which is the pinnacle of brand standards.

· ✔ Train: you will work with our newly qualified and apprentice staff and will be tasked with developing their learning to complement your daily work and the wider team growth.

To be right for this job you are…

· ✔ Experienced: You have professional experience within vehicle service and repairs. Brand experience is preferred but not essential;

· ✔ A team player: You'll be part of a diverse team that thrives on collaboration;

· ✔ Flexible: You are able and willing to work on a variety of jobs across our car, van and electrical vehicle range;

· ✔ A good communicator: You speak and write English well, and know how to get your point across clearly and respectfully as well as write up details of work carried out. You will re required to carry our vehicle video VHC's to share with customers.

· ✔ Safe to drive: We require you to hold a full valid driver’s license.

· ✔ Motivated: To learn on the job and to undertake full FordLearn responsibilities to continuously improve an ultimately become a Master Ford Technician.
