We are looking for a skilled purchaser candidates to our client in Bergen
Senior Purchaser
Job Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain team is growing and we need new competent employees. With us, you will work with dedicated colleagues in multidisciplinary teams. You must be able to balance several tasks at det same time and thrive in a hectic work environment.
Typical work tasks will be:
- Create procurement strategies
- Issue inquiry documents for larger equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering
- Commercial evaluation of quotations
- Issue orders and contracts of complex procurement packages
- Follow-up suppliers to secure delivery within the right timeframe, cost, and quality
- Professional variation handling
- Handling of risks, deviations and invoices
- Secure that all work is executed in accordance with Abel’s guidelines, work instructions and Procedures
- Be the single point of contact for commercial discussions with suppliers
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree within relevant subjects: Supply Chain, Logistics, Economy, Engineering
Required Work Experience:
- Solid knowledge within procurement is a requirement and min 5 years of relevant working experience within procurement. Right attitude and high commitment may compensate for lack of formal education / relevant work experience.
Required Qualifications:
- A Commercial mindset & Contract understanding
- Good oral and written communication skills, in Norwegian, English in addition
- Flexible and positive with good collaboration skills.
- Structured and systematic approach
- Microsoft Office and SAP ERP experience is a plus

Planned start date: 01/12/2024
Planned end date: 31/12/2025
Work location
Bergen, 5 days working week
Supplier and candidates are expected to openly offer all relevant information about candidates/themselves during the hire-in process. Supplier and candidates may be asked for information on affiliation to high-risk countries for a security assessment.
