Senior Software Developer

The Company:

We are one of New Zealand's largest privately-owned companies, specializing in Home Construction and Renovations. We are working towards modernizing and standardizing our platforms to enhance efficiency and scalability.

The role:

We seek a dynamic Senior Software Developer who will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting both internal and external solutions.

Experience and qualifications:

*a keen interest in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse

*a basic understanding or hands-on experience with API development, data integration, and creating custom connectors

*strong analytical and critical thinking skills

*excellent communication and collaboration abilities

*a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is a plus but not required

*relevant Microsoft certifications, such as PL-400 (Microsoft Power Platform Developer), are advantageous but not mandatory.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

*Design and develop solutions - Create business applications and automate workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate

*Data integration - Integrate disparate systems and ensure seamless data flow between platforms

*Automation - Develop automated processes to enhance business productivity and efficiency

*Collaboration - Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs

*Testing and support - Perform end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and provide end-user support

*Documentation - Maintain detailed documentation of solutions and best practices

*Continuous improvement - Stay updated on tools and solutions that meet our needs

Skills:

*Strong understanding of solution architecture, design patterns, and best practices.

*Familiarity with various construction management platforms customizations

*A keen interest in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse

*A basic understanding or hands-on experience with API development, data integration, and creating custom connectors

*Ability to envision and contribute to long-term solutions.

*Proficiency in database administration and optimization.

*Commercial acumen to drive optimal business outcomes.

*Effective problem-solving and Design Thinking approach.

*Proven ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
