Job Overview
We are seeking a full time professional and personable Server to join our Fishbones team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer relations skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, knowledge of our food and wines, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a casual-fine dining restaurant setting. Prior experience with POS systems and food industry standards is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
• Manage guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction
• Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness in service stations
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse clientele
• Experience with food handling, sanitation procedures, and basic math for cashiering and cash handling tasks
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation practices
• Previous roles such as host/host or busser are beneficial but not required
• Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
