Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage offerings.
• Take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
• Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.

Requirements

• Previous fine dining experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of upscale restaurant operations.
• Culinary experience is a plus, along with familiarity with food handling and preparation techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
• Proficient in using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros, as well as OpenTable for reservations management.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations within the restaurant industry.
• Exceptional customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $3.60 - $5.00 per hour
