Job Summary

Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and welcoming seating process
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Clear tables, bussing dishes efficiently to keep the dining area clean and organized
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating culinary awareness and teamwork
- Follow all sanitation protocols to ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are upheld
Skills
- Proven experience in food service roles such as server, host, host, or in hospitality environments
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable reservation management
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods smoothly
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and basic food safety practices
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Background in fine dining or nightclub settings is a plus for delivering elevated guest experiences
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and cash handling accuracy
- Kitchen experience or culinary knowledge is advantageous for supporting food prep when necessary
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and managing guest relations
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
