Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity
We are seeking an R&D IT Service Delivery Manager for our Fonterra Research and Development Centre. In this permanent role, you will manage IT service delivery to support business objectives, working closely with stakeholders and teams to improve processes and outcomes.
You will assist the R&D IT Manager in creating strategies that drive change and align IT initiatives with business needs. Delivering consistent daily performance with cost-effective technology is key to success.
Key Accountabilities
- Be the trusted partner and the key liaison between IT and business teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT operations and support with business objectives.
- Be the “voice of the customer” within IT and raise opportunities to drive value for R&D.
- Identify new services for business IT support, assess their impact, and implement actionable steps.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders to improve IT services
- Monitor dashboards to achieve Service Level Agreements
- Include business impacts in Problem Management and consult relevant stakeholders.

You will be a customer focused Information Technology Service Delivery professional with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be result driven, willing to adapt and embrace change. You will have experience dealing with various information technologies, and the ability to provide clarity in change & release processes and service delivery.
Recognised for your ability to foster a collaborative “Good Together” partnership with the stakeholders you engage with, it will be your outstanding communication skills that set you up for success in this role. You will have well-rounded oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve issues with stakeholders and vendors.
Ideal skills and attributes include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Digital, Business, or related fields, or equivalent commercial experience.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in IT or a closely related discipline, with broad technical knowledge of Information Technology, project management, and service delivery.
- Experience in complex IT environments within medium to large corporate organisations is desirable.
- Demonstrated strong leadership abilities in managing both direct and indirect reports.
- Track record of delivering results in an operational support environment.
- IT vendor and project governance experience.
- Experienced in facilitating conflict resolution and leading negotiations to prioritise across competing business units, teams, and outcomes.
