CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
2. Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
3. Shift: Applicants must be available for all shifts; incumbents will be required to work rotating shifts, or be on call for work, on weekends, holidays, and evenings, including mandatory overtime; refusal of assigned shift may result in removal from the list or termination.
5. Certificate: Must possess a County Food Handler certificate at time of hire or Incumbents must obtain a San Bernardino County Food Handlers Certificate within two weeks of appointment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following options:
Option A: Two (2) years of full-time experience overseeing food preparation in a correctional institution.
Option B: Two (2) years of full-time experience cooking food for a large number of persons in an institutional, hospital, military, large commercial kitchen, or similar setting which includes one (1) year of supervisory or management experience.
Desired Qualifications
Supervisory or management experience in a correctional setting, full service restaurant, food processing plant, or cafeteria that includes writing schedules, menu planning, and coordinating events is highly desired.
