Acco Material Handling Solutions (“Acco”) specializes in the manufacturing of material handling equipment, including hoists, cranes, carts and lifters. Its products are used primarily in industrial manufacturing and distribution environments, including aerospace, water treatment, heavy manufacturing, agriculture, mining, automotive, and logistics. Operating from three manufacturing facilities in the US, Acco provides ready to ship stock products or fully engineered custom devices. Products are sold through distributors, as well as to large direct customers.


Job Summary


The Production and Shipping Coordinator is responsible for inbound and outbound shipments, insuring accuracy of items coming into and leaving the building. Along with shipping, this position takes an active role in managing the final steps for items to leave the building, paint. Working closely with the Production Planner, this position keeps the final processes in adherence to the production schedule while creating a safe and productive working environment.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Work with Production Planner and Plant Management on schedule attainment and final flow of product.
  • Work closely with sales to streamline hoist shipments to ensure deliveries are made on time, and undamaged.
  • Work with shipping vendors and brokers to setup pickups for customer items to be shipped.
  • Lead and direct shipping employees and paint employees.
  • Ensure inbound items are received correctly and verified against packing slips.
  • Ensure outbound items are packaged correctly and match shipping paperwork.
  • Maintain highest quality standards - accept no defects, make no defects, pass no defects
  • Communicate any challenges related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP) to Management.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
  • Innovate and collaborate with peers in your work area – find ways to improve SQDIP
  • Be available for overtime as needed.

Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.)


  • Ability to read and interpret machining drawings
  • Experience in CNC machine setup and operation
  • Manual and NC machine experience a plus
  • Experience with and ability to use calipers, micrometers and other precision measuring tools
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience a plus
  • High sense of urgency and strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability and passion for high quality output
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment


Education Requirements:


High school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years’ experience


Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:


Typical manufacturing/office conditions. Must be able to lift 35 – 50 lbs.
