We build, scale, and optimize high-growth DTC brands doing $10M–$100M+ in annual revenue. Our clients move fast, expect excellence, and rely on us as their go-to engineering team. Because of that, we only hire developers operating at a genuinely senior level—people who can architect solutions, communicate clearly, and deliver flawless Shopify Plus experiences.

If you are not already performing at the level of a top-tier Shopify Plus engineer, this role is not for you.

What You’ll Own

You’ll act as the primary technical lead on client deliverables—from discovery to deployment—working closely with PMs, designers, and founders.

You will:

Advanced Shopify Development

• Build custom Shopify Plus 2.0 themes from scratch (no cookie-cutter devs)
• Architect high-performing storefronts directly from Figma/XD
• Create custom apps, features, and components using Liquid, JS, and Shopify APIs
• Build advanced cart, mega menu, dynamic recommendation, and upsell systems (Rebuy-level work)
• Implement metafield/metaobject architectures for scalable content management
• Customize Shopify Functions & Checkout Extensibility
• Build reusable, modular components for rapid future development

Performance, UX & SEO

• Own site performance improvements using CWV and best practices
• Execute UX enhancements with designers and PMs
• Implement ADA/Accessibility improvements
• Ship SEO-optimized templates with correct structure, schema, and meta logic

Integrations, Tracking & Data

• Implement GA4, GTM, pixel and Ads tracking setups end-to-end
• Integrate third-party tools (Rebuy, Yotpo, Klaviyo, Recharge, etc.)

You Are…

This is where we separate real seniors from résumé seniors.

You:

• Write clear, self-documenting code
• Solve problems without leaning on prebuilt apps
• Can explain technical decisions to PMs and clients simply and directly
• Can jump into an existing theme and navigate it without chaos
• Work confidently in US time zones and communicate proactively
• Have 3–5+ years of true Shopify Plus development for scaling DTC brands
• Are comfortable in a fast-paced agency where expectations are high

Bonus Skills (Highly Preferred)

• Experience creating custom cart logic, quick views, dynamic PDP features
• Strong eye for UI—not a designer, but someone who knows “almost right” vs “right”
• Ability to mentor junior devs
• Experience with Vue/React for Shopify app or headless components
