Site Manager – Galway (Tuam/Portumna)

Due to continued growth, OCC Construction are seeking to appoint a Site Manager to join our team in Galway, offering excellent opportunities for career progression and development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a progressive, forward-thinking contractor delivering high-quality projects across the West of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, trades, and suppliers on-site
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company standards, and project requirements
  • Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management
  • Chair and coordinate site meetings with clients, engineers, and design teams
  • Maintain strict quality control and ensure works are delivered in line with specifications
  • Manage site logistics, sequencing of works, and programme delivery
  • Collaborate with commercial and project teams to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Foreman, or Construction Supervisor, ideally with a main contractor
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, BCAR requirements, and construction best practice
  • Experience delivering residential and/or commercial projects
  • Strong track record managing subcontractors and site teams
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Comfortable using IT tools and construction management systems (e.g. Procore or similar)
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
  • Full clean driving licence
