Skilled Concrete Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. This position supports jobsite operations including material handling, traffic control, demolition support, and coordination of daily tasks. The Skilled Laborer leads by example, assists foremen and supervisors, and ensures that all work is performed safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has experience in concrete construction, strong knowledge of construction tools and materials, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily construction activities including concrete work, demolition, and site preparation
• Load and unload materials and assist with material handling
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Assist with traffic control and jobsite safety coordination
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools
• Assist supervisors and foremen with daily work planning
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of concrete work, including formwork, rebar installation, and concrete finishing
• Report unsafe conditions immediately to the Foreman or Supervisor
• Assist with setup of signage, fencing, and other site safety measures
• Support and guide junior laborers or helpers when needed
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Maintain company tools and equipment in safe working condition

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in concrete construction or civil construction
• Knowledge of construction materials (cement, rebar, gravel, forms, etc.)
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to read basic plans or work instructions
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Traffic Control / Flagger Certification
• First Aid and CPR

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work at heights, in trenches, and in physically demanding environments
• Frequent walking, climbing, bending, pushing, and pulling

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
