• Mon-Thurs: 7am to 3:30pm
• Fri: 7am to 2:30pm

Job Purpose:

To support the efficient and safe production of insulation materials by handling raw materials, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a clean and organised work environment. The Operative plays a crucial role in maintaining consistent output and product integrity in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut bespoke insulation materials
• Operate hand tools according to safety and quality guidelines.
• Monitor the production line to ensure consistent material flow and identify any issues early.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
• Carry out routine quality checks and measurements to ensure products meet specifications.
• Report any faults or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and hygiene requirements at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work area.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, productive working environment.
• Record production data and complete relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with the transport team regarding efficient delivery.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred (experience in insulation or construction materials is a plus but not essential).
• Manual Handling certification is a plus but not essential.
• Good command of English – spoken and written.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit – able to stand for long periods and lift/move materials.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required.
