Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for software solutions.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality applications using languages such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, C++, and C.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration between different systems and platforms.
• Maintain and improve existing infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Git to manage code repositories efficiently.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to foster continuous improvement.
• Write clean, well-documented code for front-end development with frameworks like React Express and back-end services supporting web applications.
• Manage databases using MySQL or SQL Server; optimize queries for performance; ensure data integrity across systems.
• Contribute to Linux-based application development environments; troubleshoot issues related to application deployment on Linux servers.
• Implement security best practices such as RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) to safeguard sensitive data and system access.
• Engage in quantum engineering concepts where applicable to explore innovative computational solutions within our projects.

Experience

• Proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure components.
• Hands-on expertise with Ruby on Rails for rapid web application development.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles for building interoperable systems.
• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as React or Express for front-end development tasks.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative value efficiently.
• Competence with version control systems including GitHub and SVN for collaborative coding efforts.
• Solid understanding of database management using MySQL or SQL Server; ability to write optimized queries.
• Knowledge of programming languages including Java, C#, C++, Python, C, and VBA for diverse application needs.
• Experience with Linux environments for application deployment and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with application security practices like RBAC to enforce access controls effectively.
