Solar Pv Electrician

About the Role
We are hiring a qualified PV Electrician to join a growing renewable energy team. This role involves the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites across Ireland. The ideal candidate will ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission solar PV systems in line with relevant standards and regulations
• Carry out electrical wiring, system connections, and fault-finding
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot system issues
• Follow all health and safety procedures on site
• Complete installation reports, test documentation, and related paperwork
• Communicate effectively with customers and project managers to support smooth project delivery
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition

Requirements

• Fully qualified electrician with recognised Irish electrical qualifications (e.g., QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
• Experience with solar PV installations or renewable energy systems (preferred)
• Safe Electric registration or eligibility to obtain it
• Good knowledge of current Irish electrical regulations (ET101)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Full, clean Irish driving licence
• Willingness to travel to sites nationwide

Desirable Experience

• Experience with battery storage systems or EV charger installations
• Knowledge of inverters and system monitoring software
• Working at Heights and Manual Handling certification

Pay: €40,417.78-€68,614.98 per year
