Role: Sonographer, Women's Health
Location: Burlington, VT-05401
Position: Full Time + Benefits, Sign on Bonus & Relocation Assistance
$10,000-$15,000 sign on bonus based on years of experience.
Must Have:
+ Advanced Certification - ARDMS OB/GYN Certified.
+ Graduated from an accredited diagnostic Sonography program.
+ Minimum of 6 months of scanning experience outside of clinicals, which include OB/GYN.
The Staff Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within individual department(s). Examinations are performed independently, under physician supervision, and with peer collaboration as is appropriate.
The Staff Sonographer also helps to mentor and educate all levels of staff. The Staff Sonographer possesses the applicable credentials to the departmental role. Staff Sonographer fulfills the necessary and applicable time and experience requirements related to the position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose and treat various obstetric and gynecological conditions.
- Provide prenatal care, including monitoring fetal development and managing complications during pregnancy.
- Perform deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections, ensuring the safety of both mother and child.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques such as sonography and diagnostic radiology to assist in patient evaluations.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures to minimize infection risks.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology principles.
- Proficient understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic tools relevant to women's health.
- Experience with sonography and medical imaging technologies for effective patient assessment.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding of women's health issues.
- Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
