Spa Receptionist

Killaloe is a picturesque tourist town twinned with Ballina on the Tipperary side straddling the River Shannon. Killaloe is well-known for its fishing and boating activities. The hotel is approximately 1.2 km from the centre of Killaloe, and overlooks the Kincora Marina which has direct boating access to Lough Derg / The River Shannon.

The property comprises of a substantial modern hotel having 35 en suite bedrooms, lounge, function room, kitchen, bar, reception, ancillary areas and a spa that is currently under construction. The hotel has a commanding view over Lough Derg to the rear with ample car-parking and gardens to the front. The property has been refurbished throughout and is finished to a very high standard.

The Role

At the Sionna Spa we want to create a relaxing atmosphere for our guests so they can escape the stresses of everyday life and indulge in the soothing and calming surroundings of our state of the art spa. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating and achieving this exceptional tranquil haven for our guests

Primary Duties

• To ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all treatment rooms, in accordance with the Health and Safety and hygiene legislation.
• Assist and perform various demonstrations and events.
• Courtesy to guests and other members of staff at all times.
• To meet & greet all guests and have consultation forms filled out. To confirm appointment times/treatments/times with guests on arrival.
• To show guest the facilities and to ensure that treatments start on time.
• To take payment and process payment immediately
• To perform as a professional with a friendly attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Spa Manager

Requirements

1 Year minimum experience. Required at weekends-Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
The Ideal candidate will have the following;

• Must have previous experience.
• To be the face of spa-welcoming all guests
• Must be friendly, professional and welcoming
• To ensure spa reception/changing rooms and thermal areas are clean and well stocked at all times
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment
• Take pride in their appearance and keep up to date with the spa industry
• Be enthusiastic, confident and passionate about the beauty industry
