Relationships Australia Tasmania (RA Tas), in partnership with SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY, delivers the Stay ChatTY Student Wellbeing Program across Tasmanian Government (DECYP) schools. This important initiative supports Student Wellbeing Officers (SWOs) to strengthen student wellbeing and foster inclusive, connected school communities across Tasmania.

We are seeking a highly organised and values-driven Student Wellbeing Program Coordinator to lead and support the seamless delivery of this impactful program.

The Stay ChatTY Student Wellbeing Program Coordinator plays a key leadership role in ensuring effective program delivery across DECYP schools statewide.

You will coordinate and support a team of Student Wellbeing Officers, provide operational oversight, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the program achieves strong outcomes for children and young people.

This role comprises 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility regarding work days, and may be based in either the northern or southern region of the state.

Do you fit the bill

We are looking for a confident coordinator with strong organisational capability and a genuine commitment to student wellbeing. You bring experience leading teams and programs, ideally within a school or community setting, and are comfortable balancing operational, administrative and people leadership responsibilities.

You will demonstrate:
  • A relevant degree or diploma (education, community services, training, business or related field), or equivalent experience
  • Experience coordinating programs, ideally within schools
  • Experience supporting and supervising staff
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, including supporting budget processes
  • Ability to work both independently and within a small, multidisciplinary team
