Special Education Paraprofessional

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and development, particularly in early childhood settings. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students, ensuring they receive the guidance and support necessary to thrive academically and socially.

Duties

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual student needs.
• Support students with special needs or learning difficulties, providing personalized attention and encouragement.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to enhance the educational experience.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers on student performance.
• Help create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
• Engage with students during playtime, group activities, and lessons to encourage participation and social skills.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom resources.
• Maintain records of student progress and participate in meetings regarding student development.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

• Preschool education or early childhood development principles.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in private schools or childcare environments.
• Familiarity with lesson planning and implementing educational activities for young children.
• Skills in American Sign Language are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse learners.
• Background in toddler care or related fields is beneficial for understanding developmental milestones.
