We are seeking a dedicated and efficient team member to join our team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Steward/Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and hospitality, and who thrive in a collaborative team atmosphere.

Duties

• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as required, supporting chefs and cooks during busy service periods.
• Ensure that all items are properly sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
• Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes from dining areas when necessary.
• Participate in inventory management by stocking / inventory, putting away deliveries, reporting any shortages or damaged items to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
• Willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic kitchen environment.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
