They need a reliable and hands‑on Store Person to take ownership of their busy store operations and support workshop and technical teams in a fast‑paced environment.

This is a varied role, well suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, accuracy, and being the go‑to person who keeps things running smoothly.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, the Store Person will be responsible for the day‑to‑day administration and operation of the store, including purchasing, stock control, receipting goods, and issuing materials to internal teams and external customers.

You'll work closely with management, workshop supervisors, technical staff, suppliers, and customers to ensure stock is available, well managed, and correctly allocated.

Key responsibilities

  • Ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing stock
  • Obtaining and recording supplier quotations
  • Loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels and completing stock takes
  • Pricing, numbering and receipting inward goods
  • Ensuring dangerous goods are stored safely and correctly
  • Processing credits, job allocations and materials for invoicing
  • Checking supplier invoices and following up on outstanding orders
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe, and well‑organised store
  • Participating in after‑hours call‑out when required

What our client is looking for

  • Previous experience in a store, warehouse, or workshop environment
  • Forklift experience, F and OSH (or willingness to obtain certification)
  • Engineering or mechanical knowledge would be an advantage
  • Strong organisation and administration skills
  • Good computer literacy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • A proactive, reliable team player with a practical mindset

What's on offer

  • Full‑time position with a competitive hourly pay and overtime after 40 hours
  • Stable role within a well-established business
  • Supportive team environment
  • Opportunities to upskill and grow with the company

If you're someone who takes pride in keeping systems organised and enjoys being a key support to operational teams, we'd love to hear from you.
