Store Supervisor/Assistant Manager

We are seeking a Store Supervisor/assistant manager for our busy and well-established convenience store in Silverstream, we are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Store Supervisor/assistant manager to support the owner in running the day-to-day operations of the store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help ensure the store runs smoothly, customers are happy, and stock is managed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Support Daily Operations: Assist the owner with day-to-day store activities, keeping the store tidy, safe, and welcoming for customers.

Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, respond to inquiries, and ensure every customer has a positive experience.

Inventory & Stock Management: Help monitor stock levels, manage deliveries, place orders, and ensure products are properly rotated to reduce waste.

Sales & Promotions: Support the implementation of in-store promotions and maintain appealing product displays.

Cash Handling: Assist with register operations, cash handling procedures, and end-of-day cash reconciliation.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the store meets all health and safety regulations, including safe food handling and a clean, secure environment.

Qualifications & Skills:
Tertiary qualification at or above Certificate Level 3 (any field), or at least one year of relevant work experience.

Retail experience, preferably in a convenience store or fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Comfortable multitasking and supporting all aspects of store operations.

Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and basic store procedures.

A friendly, professional attitude and a commitment to providing a great customer experience.

Hours & Pay:
Hours: 30–40 hours per week

Pay: $26–$30 per hour, depending on skills and experience
