MDI is introducing a new hybrid position that combines key responsibilities across both Stores and Manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and thrives in a hands-on team environment.
Primarily as our Storesperson, you will be responsible for all aspects of goods incoming and outgoing, including the associated documentation and recordkeeping. You will also assist with inventory and warehousing control, working closely with the Inventory Control/ Procurement Officer and the Floor Manager to maintain efficient and accurate stock management. A current forklift license is required for this role.
Additionally, as part of the Production Team, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and production of medical equipment. You will work alongside other members of staff and reporting to the Floor Manager to support high quality output, maintain workflow efficiency, and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Key Role Responsibilities

Stores & Warehouse Duties

  • Perform general warehouse tasks including forklift operation and loading/unloading trucks
  • Pick, receipt, and manage inventory and stock control across a range of products
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials and supplies
  • Prepare, pack, and dispatch materials for shipment to various job sites
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures
  • Uphold safe work practices and contribute to a clean, organised warehouse environment

Production & Assembly Support

  • Assist in the assembly and production of medical equipment
  • Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, or mechanical assembly skills (experience desirable)
  • Follow instructions accurately to meet production goals and quality standards
  • Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment

Teamwork, Attitude & Work Ethic

  • Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn our processes and products
  • Work collaboratively within a high‑performing team
  • Communicate clearly and contribute to a positive, productive team atmosphere

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Fit and capable of performing physical labour
  • Able to lift heavy objects (up to 35kg)
  • Demonstrate sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • Hold an open driver’s licence
