Summer Support Worker (Youth)

Make a difference this summer! Serenity Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide one-on-one support for a male child attending summer camp. This is a rewarding opportunity to help a child with complex needs engage in a fun, inclusive environment.

Position Overview

• Term: Full-time (40 hours/week) from June to late August.
• Setting: Accompanying the client to a local summer camp setting.
• Wage: $20.30 per hour + 4% vacation pay.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing one-on-one companionship and behavioral support for a child with global delays, ADHD, and Autism.
• Facilitating communication and engagement for a non-verbal client.
• Assisting with all aspects of personal care, including toileting and diaper changes.
• Ensuring the client's safety and well-being throughout the camp day.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in Canada.
• A recent Letter of Conduct (including Vulnerable Sector Check).
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Three references.
• A patient, energetic, and compassionate "can-do" attitude.
