Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
As a Supply Planner – International Sourcing at Farmlands, you will be at the heart of our global supply chain, managing international purchasing and the introduction of new products sourced from overseas vendors. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and timely arrival of products into New Zealand, working closely with our International Sourcing, Merchandising, and Logistics teams.
You will lead supply planning efforts for new product launches, focusing on long lead time imports, cost accuracy, and inventory optimization across our distribution centers. Your role includes tracking critical timelines, managing purchase orders, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and continuously improving sourcing and planning processes. You will also play a key role in supporting automated purchasing systems and ensuring new products transition seamlessly into our supply planning operations.

We seek a motivated and experienced planner with:
    International sourcing experience
    Experience in Supply Planning
    Strong understanding of inventory management, supply constraints, and planning systems (experience with Logility and D365 FinOps is advantageous).
    Excellent business planning, project management, and advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.
    A strategic thinker and problem solver who thrives under pressure and meets deadlines.
    Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders.
    A proactive and authentic leader who embraces innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    Tertiary qualifications in business, supply chain, or related fields are preferred.
The ideal candidate may also come from a Buyer role.
