This is a one-year temporary position with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.
As our Sustainability Project Manager, you will be part of the Scandic Sustainability team and reporting to our Head of Strategy and Sustainability. This is an exciting and dynamic role, where you will be working on some of our most important sustainability initiatives, managing external partnerships and supporting internal coordination.
The role is located within the Head Office in Stockholm, meaning you will be working together with all markets (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Poland) and functions (Portfolio, Business Development, Sustainability, Commercial, HR, etc.).
Work assignments will be varied and include (but not limited to):
1. Project management: leading our key sustainability projects, supporting execution of our company strategy
2. External partnerships: managing and developing our main partnerships linked to sustainability topics (climate, accessibility, social impact, etc.)
3. Internal coordination: supporting execution of sustainability activities across the company
4. Reporting: lead sustainability related reporting e.g., CSRD, CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, CDP
Experiences you bring and share with us:
The nature of work is fast-paced and varied, requiring a versatile set of skills. We therefore would like to see that you have:
- Passion for sustainability and hospitality – you have a good understanding of a wide range of sustainability topics. Experience within hospitality and sustainability-related regulations is a plus
- Solid project management skills – you have solid project management skills, managing important projects from idea to execution, building trust-based relationships across the organization
- Strategic thinker and problem-solver – you understand and add value to the overall strategic agenda at Scandic, simplify the complex and thrive during problem-solving
- A clear understanding of how to balance sustainability goals with commercial business priorities
We see a variety of different backgrounds:
- Experience from corporate sustainability team
- Experience from a sustainability-related company (e.g., sustainability reporting software company)
- Experience within sustainability investing or consulting
Experience within environmental sustainability is strongly meriting, such as:
- Decarbonization and CO₂ targets
- Environmental certifications
- Resource efficiency and circularity
