Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing our server and workstation environments, ensuring smooth and secure operation of corporate systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain server and workstation monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Windows and UNIX/Linux-based systems and servers, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Collaborate with LAN/Network teams to integrate LAN applications and peripheral hardware, fostering a stable and efficient work environment.
  • Apply patches and perform system upgrades as required; manage backup and recovery processes to ensure high system availability.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and support the installation and testing of computer peripherals.
  • Provide technical expertise during deployments and project assignments, ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Research and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet both current and future business needs.
  • Work closely with IT team members, vendors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide support.
  • Administer user accounts and manage privileges for network systems, email, VoIP, databases, and other web applications.
  • Ensure internet equipment and peripherals are properly maintained, updated, and remain in optimal working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2012-2019) and major Linux distributions (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu).
  • Expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server (2012/2016/2019) in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows 7, 10, and 11 systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Active Directory, PFSense, Cacti, MRTG, LDAP, TeamViewer, VNC, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience with Cisco appliances, including routers and ASA firewalls.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and vSphere.
  • Solid understanding of shared storage, replication, load balancing, and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows OS and a variety of software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, results-driven, team-oriented, quick to learn, and adaptable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cebu City, Cebu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
