Te Waipounamu Service Delivery Manager - Radiology
  • Fixed Term: 18 Months | Full-Time 40 hour Per week 1.0 FTE
  • Location: Te Waipounamu (South Island) Flexible working across Te Waipounamu.

Te Waipounamu Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Delivery Manager to lead the regional coordination and performance uplift of radiology services across Te Waipounamu.

About the Role

This is a strategic and operational leadership role focused on delivering high-quality, equitable, and whānau-centred radiology services. You will work closely with the Te Waipounamu Radiology Clinical Network, district leaders, and national programmes to implement the Regional Radiology Service Delivery Plan and support the Diagnostic Boost Programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of regional service delivery plans.
  • Driving performance improvement and reducing variation in access and clinical practice.
  • Coordinating regional workforce and capital planning aligned with national priorities.
  • Embedding networked ways of working across hospital and community radiology services.
  • Supporting implementation of national service delivery models and standards.
  • Building strong relationships with national, regional, and district stakeholders

Essential:

  • A relevant graduate or post-graduate qualification.
  • 8'10 years' senior operational/service management experience in healthcare.
  • Proven ability to lead change, manage complexity, and deliver performance uplift.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic planning capability.
  • Experience in hospital and community service delivery environments.
  • Deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity in health.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement, programme/project management, and health system strategy.

Desired:

  • Health Services Management or clinical qualification.
