We’re currently looking for a talented Team Leader / Experienced Barista to join our passionate weekend team.

Job Description

This is a hands-on role for a motivated individual with strong barista experience and leadership potential. You’ll help lead weekend shifts, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and high-quality coffee and baked goods presentation.

Responsibilities Include:

Barista Duties

• Prepare and serve artisan hot and cold drinks including espresso-based beverages, teas, and seasonal specials
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and coffee equipment to a high standard
• Ensure quality and consistency in every cup, with attention to detail and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all barista and service areas throughout the shift

Customer Service & Front of House

• Greet and engage customers with a warm, friendly attitude
• Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Describe menu items and offer product suggestions, especially around artisan breads and viennoiseries
• Handle payments, operate the till, and manage stock levels on the floor
• Maintain a tidy and visually appealing display and seating area

Team Leadership & Support

• Oversee and support other team members during busy weekend shifts
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and maintaining a high-energy, positive atmosphere
• Delegate tasks as needed and ensure opening/closing procedures are followed
• Help train new staff in barista skills and customer interaction when required

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of barista experience (artisan coffee or specialty cafe preferred)
• Strong communication skills with a happy, friendly, and approachable personality
• Excellent customer service instincts and a genuine interest in hospitality
• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining quality and cleanliness
• Action-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative
• Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Adaptable and open to evolving practices and products
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working weekend shifts
