Technician, Assistant

Technician Assistant job description: The Technician Assistant performs multiple duties that include but are not limited to;

• Working requests in our ticketing system Incident IQ. These tickets can consist of multiple different requests such as fulfilling printer toner and drum requests, shipping hotswap devices, and printing replacement asset tags.
• Assist Master Technician with repairs of laptops and iPads, assign asset tags for newly acquired devices and upload information in our inventory system.
• Fill in for Master Technician when needed.
• Warehouse/Delivery duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Issuance of forklift certification upon successful completion of District Training.
• Be able to drive District box truck
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, A+ Certification preferred Experience that demonstrates a basic knowledge of computer hardware, system software (i.e. Windows, Mac, and Chrome), application software, and network systems Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License; if a holder of any other valid US state-issued Driver’s License, agree to acquire a Florida Driver’s License within thirty (30) days of employment, except in a case where accommodation is required Must be able to operate school board vehicles, when assigned, in accordance with operational procedures and School Board Policy 505

REQUIRED SKILLS Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and listening skills with an ability to establish and maintain working relationships with associates, school and district personnel, and the general public Ability to relate software capabilities to end user needs Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment Ability to perform responsibilities in assistance to senior technicians and act within adopted guidelines Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse individuals and groups Ability to perform repetitive and/or tedious tasks Willingness to continue education to keep current with the advancing technology
