Toddler Teacher Assistant 2:30-5:30 Mon-Fri

Preschool in need of a Teacher's Assistant for classroom of 15 children, ages 18 months through 3 years old OR preschool classroom of up to 20 children, ages 3-5, Monday through Friday, from 2:30-5:30. May require helping in other classrooms on occasion in order to maintain ratio. Assistant will work alongside two staff members (in toddler class) or one other assistant (in preschool class) in relation to all classroom activities. Duties include supervising children in the classroom and on the playground, conducting/supervising circle time (reading stories, group activities, games, etc.), assisting children with tasks and self-help skills (diaper changing, toileting, etc.), setting up snack, overseeing crafts, signing children out for the day and greeting parents, basic classroom maintenance (wiping tables, sweeping floors, vacuuming carpet, emptying trash, tidying room for next morning), and other responsibilities as they relate to the position. Individual must be punctual and love children. Two years (equivalent to at least 2,500 working hours) documented childcare experience strongly preferred. Applicant must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or GED. Pediatric First Aid/CPR will be required in first 90 days of employment if individual does not already have it.
