Trainee Panel Beater/Spray Painter

Due to our company's continued growth and expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Trainee Panel Beater/Sprayer.

The Role: The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in car preparation, panel beating, and spray painting, and will demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop their skills in a busy, fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in the automotive repair industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with work outlined on job cards under the guidance of qualified technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Supporting the diagnosis of repair needs and confirming authorization with the Service Manager/Advisor.
• Learning to examine vehicles and perform vehicle health checks, including video health checks, to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Notifying service advisors promptly if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Assisting with road-testing vehicles to ensure work performed meets required standards.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Interest in automotive repair and bodywork, with a strong desire to learn.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous exposure to a garage or automotive environment is an advantage but not essential.
• Full, clean, and valid driving license.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €33,800.00-€40,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Mechanic: 3 years (required)
