Tri-State Tree Service is recruiting a seasoned Team Supervisor with expertise in professional arboriculture to join our distinguished crew.
Role Summary
We seek a working crew leader who will manage a field crew of two others while delivering superior customer service. This crew leadership role requires job site assessments, directing tree pruning and extraction services, supervising equipment upkeep, and educating team members with steadfast attention to safety protocols.
Core Responsibilities:
Crew Management & Safety Oversight
- Oversee comprehensive tree service operations, confirming all personnel possess necessary protective gear and training
- Uphold superior safety standards and guarantee compliance with organizational policies and ANSI/OSHA guidelines
- Guide team coordination to accomplish outstanding safety metrics, service quality, and client satisfaction
- Educate and guide less experienced workers
- Complete all tree care procedures following detailed job specifications and ANSI requirements
- Handle professional equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers, tractors, and skid steer machines
- Execute routine equipment servicing and minor repairs
- Operate commercial vehicles with trailers, performing required daily safety checks
- Deliver tree care services with meticulous attention to detail following industry excellence standards
- Verify all projects exceed organizational benchmarks for quality and customer service
Required Background:
- 3+ years verified tree service experience focusing on aerial operations and/or hydraulic lift work
- Current driver's license with exemplary driving history (free from major infractions)
- Established track record leading climbing teams and ground support crews
- Superior multitasking and organizational capabilities in demanding work settings
Expertise across contemporary arboriculture practices:
- Advanced rigging, pruning, and tree removal methods
- Professional climbing skills (with and without climbing spikes)
- Comprehensive tree species recognition abilities
- Safety procedure implementation and protective equipment expertise
- Crane operation certification
- Knowledge of tree support systems, installation work, and Plant Health Care services
- Adaptability to all weather environments
- Strength to handle 30-40+ pound materials consistently
- Endurance for prolonged standing and physically demanding tasks
