Triage Nurse

Haywood Pediatrics is hiring RNs to do triage in office. Either full time (30-40 hours per week) or part time will be considered. Daily duties include phone calls, walk-in triage requests, prescription refills, answering portal questions, prior authorizations, back-up referrals, communicating with outside offices to coordinate provider orders, forms, lab follow-ups, and other duties upon request. Experience with Athena EMR system is a plus. At least 3 years experience in a pediatric office working in triage with patient care is preferred. Spanish interpretation skills are a plus. Applicant must possess the tact to work effectively with patients, physicians and other employees in a busy environment. Online Pediatric Telephone Triage protocols are used with backup by onsite providers. Monday - Friday 7:45 to 5:00 pm. No nights, weekends or holidays!
