Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Drive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, commercial driving, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic automotive repairs as needed.

Duties

• Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo transported in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to provide updates on delivery status and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all safety protocols while operating heavy equipment and during loading/unloading procedures.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair to address minor vehicle issues on the road.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50-$26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
