Underwriter | Dutch Market | Acquinex | Part of PIB Group

Acquinex is expanding its European underwriting platform and strengthening its presence in the Dutch market. We are seeking an Underwriter at mid–senior level to support and lead complex Warranty & Indemnity (W&I), tax, title, and contingent risk underwriting across Dutch and cross-border M&A transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial business at a pivotal stage in its European growth, with strong exposure to high-value transactions and a clear path for progression within a high-performing team.

You will work closely with brokers, law firms, and corporate clients to deliver bespoke insurance solutions that support deal execution and mitigate transactional risk. The ideal candidate is technically strong, commercially minded, and eager to increase their deal-handling autonomy.

As part of Acquinex, you will:

• Assess and structure a variety of transactional risks.

• Manage the full underwriting process from submission through to policy issuance.

• Build trusted relationships with brokers, advisors, and clients across the Dutch market.

• Contribute to market development and the regional underwriting strategy.

• Support and, where appropriate, mentor colleagues within a collaborative and high-performing team.

• Play an active role in Acquinex’s broader European expansion within PIB Group.

What We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in professionals with:

• 3–4+ years’ experience in a top-tier law firm (M&A, corporate, tax, or private equity) or in transactional risk underwriting.

• A strong understanding of Dutch M&A transactions, corporate reorganisations, or tax structuring.

• Experience analysing risk, drafting policy documentation, or managing deal processes.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.

• Fluency in Dutch and English (additional European languages are a plus).

• A collaborative, pragmatic mindset and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.
