The opportunity

Mimo was founded in early 2023 because small businesses spend too much time and money on payments and financing. In 2024 we launched our end-to-end payments platform that put payments and financing on autopilot, enabling businesses to save hours per week and thousands in unnecessary fees.

Backed by leading institutional investors, Mimo is now hiring a UX Researcher to join a team working on automating tasks for finance professionals and accountants.

The role

You will, together with designers, product managers, and engineers, plan and run research end-to-end. From framing the right questions, to selecting the right method, to synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations, your work will directly shape our product strategy and user experience.

What you will do

• Plan, scope, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative studies

• Run interviews, surveys, usability tests, and data analysis to understand user needs

• Translate findings into clear insights and opportunities that drive product decisions and inform broader product strategy as well as business growth.

• Bridge into concept development, facilitating workshops and design thinking sessions with the team

• Ensure research findings are reflected in product concepts and solutioning

• Work independently on studies while collaborating closely with design and product

Skills and experience

• 4+ years of experience in startups, product companies, or design-driven organizations

• Independent and structured in approach, with strong prioritization skills

• Skilled in choosing and applying the right research methodology for the problem

• Proven impact from research that has shaped product strategy or improved UX

• Skilled at blending qualitative insights with quantitative data (e.g. SQL, product analytics) to learn about user behavior and product impact.

• Ability to communicate insights in a compelling and actionable way

• Comfortable stretching into concept development to ensure solutions reflect user needs

Soft skills

• Strong sense of ownership and curiosity

• Ability to collaborate seamlessly with product, design, and engineering

• Skilled at influencing stakeholders through clear storytelling and evidence

• Balance between detail-oriented rigor and pragmatic decision-making
