Van Driver/Warehouse Operative

Established in 1959, we are Irelands largest home-based soft furnishings manufacturer and a supplier of foam and fibres to the upholstery trade. Our renowned Scatter Box brand is Irelands leading Soft furnishings Brand and is stocked in over 150 shops nationwide and exported to over 15 countries.

We are actively seeking a Van Driver /Warehouse operative to join our team in Navan, Co Meath on a permanent basis.

The job will entail mostly local driving of the company small truck or large Van a couple of days a week and as a production operative or store duties when not driving. Driving would usually be within normal working hours.

General Operative/ Driver

• Load and unload Vans in a safe and efficient manner
• Deliver goods to our customers as required.
• Move and stack materials
• Rotate floor stock
• General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
• Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation
• Receive/process shipments

The suitable candidate should have:

• A full clean B Licence. C1 and advantage.
• Have at least two years experience in driving a Van or other commercial vehicle .
• Have manual handling training.
• Experience in warehousing or as a production general operative preferable.
• Excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality to represent the company when interacting with our customers.
• Have a strong ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet detailed instructions and quality standards.
• Be Flexible to meet the needs and demands of the business.
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Permanent, 39hrs per week.

Part-time driving 3 days considered

Forklift driving an advantage

1 – 2 years’ experience preferable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €14.50-€15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
