Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling patient records, and ensuring a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. A background in laboratory procedures is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to assist our veterinary staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
• Schedule and confirm appointments while managing the daily calendar.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
• Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
• Assist veterinary staff with laboratory procedures as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
• Provide clients with information about services, products, and preventative care.

Experience

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
