Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Position is part-time.

Staff start at 7am Monday-Saturday. We close at 6pm Monday-Friday and 12pm on Saturday. Need someone that can definitely fill Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning shifts.

Position requires kennel work - daily, weekend, and holiday. Must work at least 2 weekends a month and 2 holidays (out of our 4) a year.

Weekends require 7am-12pm shift, plus multiple visits to the hospital for kennel work. Our holidays are New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day; we operate regular business hours for any other holiday.

Looking for someone that can start immediately.

Receptionist - responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, putting in charges, invoicing clients, filing, handling cash drawer, running business reports, making copies, helping in kennel, preparing estimates, client education, vaccine protocol, etc.

Assistant - responsible for animal restraint; obtaining patient history; helping to obtain samples - blood, feces, and urine; running tests - fecal exam, heartworm, felv/fiv, blood work; prepping vaccines, helping to fill prescriptions, walking dogs, cleaning hospital - gathering trash, sweeping, mopping, prepping rooms, cleaning surgical suite and instruments; assisting veterinarian in all aspects of the job, etc.

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
