Warehouse Assistant cum Delivery Driver
Basic Duty & Responsibilities
- To receive, inspect (quantities & qualities) and process all inwards and outward goods timely, with the real time update in ERP and WMS systems.
- To ensure all outgoing shipments are packed according to customers’ requirements, meeting the transportation standard and import/export compliance such as fumigation of wooden pallets when requested by customers.
- To be able to drive and handle commercial vehicle (Class 3 category) for the purpose of delivering and collecting goods within Singapore mainland and Jurong Island.
- Timely actions to meet the daily delivery/collection schedule according to customers’ requirements.
- To provide packing details for Order Management and Fulfilment team to prepare Packing List/ Delivery Note for customers and forwarders.
- Take full responsible of all the shipments leaving the warehouse, to ensure the customers received the right products with accurate quantity and good quality.
- Carry out proper FIFO (first in, first out) procedures.
- Report the non-conformances and quality issues promptly, both in products and delivery.
- Keep stock identification and locations up to date and aligned to ERP records.
- Conduct periodic physical stock takes or cycle counts to achieve high inventory integrity and accuracy.
- To review and ensure proper storage of packing equipment like foaming machine, paints, tools, etc.
- To maintain and upkeep forklifts in good working condition, with periodic audit conducted accordingly to the checklist.
- Implement and maintain world class HSE standards/ 5S programs for the warehouse to achieve Zero Harm objective.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of the weight & dimension for all products.
- Apply the current Operating Procedures and make suggestions/ recommendations on how they can be improved, rationalized or simplified.
- Maintain systematic filing & documentation for audit trail.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested from time to time to meet the constant changing demands of the company.
Skills / Certification
- Possess valid forklift driver.
- Minimum 2-year experience in full span of warehouse operations.
- Possess valid Class-3 driving license and prior delivery driver experience will be advantageous.
- Good interpersonal skills and be helpful, polite and courteous to our internal colleagues and customers/vendors.
- Possess some computer skills, including the ability to handle ERP transactions.
- Working experience in warehouse barcode scanning environment will be an added advantage.
Education Required
- Possess N Level / GCE ‘O level or equivalent store management qualification.
