Warehouse & Equipment Technician – Cleaning, Shipping & Receiving

About Us

MAXIM Environmental and Safety Inc. have been providing exceptional service in Sales, Rentals, Repairs, and technical support for environmental technicians, technologists, and frontline scientists since 2006. We strive to provide service excellence for those who place their trust in our Company, and we are always dedicated to putting our Clients first. When you're on our team, you're taken care of, encouraged to learn and grow, and given lots of opportunities to do so. Give us your best, and we'll give it right back.

What You'll Do

As our Environmental Equipment Technician – Cleaning, Shipping & Receiving, your day will shift between two equally important functions - cleaning and preparing incoming and outgoing rental equipment and managing the shipping and receiving of inbound and outbound shipments. In a small, tight-knit warehouse team, everyone does everything, and this role is no different. You'll need to pivot comfortably between tasks as the day demands it.

On the cleaning side, you will physically clean and prepare equipment for rental orders using special cleaning solutions, wiping, scrubbing, and detailing each piece of equipment along with its hardcover carrying case. Each piece must be in optimum working condition, and some functional testing will be required before it leaves your hands.

On the shipping and receiving side, you'll be responsible for processing and documenting inbound deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips, flagging discrepancies, organizing received stock, and preparing outbound shipments accurately and on time. This includes packaging, labelling, booking couriers, and ensuring all shipments are properly documented and tracked. Accuracy and attention to detail on the shipping and receiving side are critical.

This is a roll-your-sleeves-up, hands-on position that requires attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment. You will be walking and standing for extended periods of time. We're looking for a teammate who does not shy away from hard work and has a willingness to learn. This role requires elevated skills in multitasking, a sense of urgency, and a can-do attitude.

Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Stand 70% of the time
  • Walk and stand for extended periods

What You'll Bring to The Team

  • Self-motivation, a positive, team-focused mentality, plus a willingness to pitch in on any task
  • Energetic Attitude; approachable manner, great listening skills, and a drive to help in any way you can, even on the toughest, busiest days
  • Top-notch communication skills
  • Impressive attention to detail
  • Good mechanical ability
  • Demonstrates excellent decision-making skills and ability to prioritize appropriately
  • Effectively manages multiple competing priorities
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision within an empowered team environment
  • Strong work ethic

Only those selected for this position will be contacted.
