Warehouse & Logistics Assistant
– Ideal for Career Changers (6 Month Contract)

Location: Gort, Co. Galway
Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term

Shift Options:
✅ 7:00am–3:30pm Mon–Thu, 7:00am–2:30pm Fri
OR
✅ 9:00am–5:30pm Mon–Thu, 9:00am–4:30pm Fri

Whether you’re coming from retail, customer service, hospitality, administration, manufacturing, or a completely different background, this role is designed to help you transition your existing skills into the logistics sector.
As a Warehouse & Logistics Assistant, you’ll learn how goods move across global supply chains, while applying your communication, organisation, and problem solving skills in a brand new environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
With full training provided, you’ll gradually take on responsibility for:

• Supporting daily export and shipping activities
• Ensuring goods are dispatched accurately and on schedule
• Preparing and managing key documentation for shipments
• Working closely with customer service and finance teams to coordinate orders
• Booking and scheduling couriers and freight forwarders
• Updating transportation orders and ERP system records
• Maintaining accurate export and dispatch logs
• Helping resolve day to day logistics issues with team support

This is hands on, practical work with plenty of variety and real responsibility.

If You’re Changing Careers, You’ll Thrive If You Have:

• Strong organisational or customer facing experience from ANY industry
• Good computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems
• Clear communication skills
• A proactive, adaptable, and team oriented attitude
• Curiosity about how logistics and supply chains work
• Willingness to learn forklift operation (training provided)

Candidates who’ve previously worked in fast moving environments (retail, hospitality, production, call centres, administration) often excel here.
