Warehouse Manager

Robinson Distribution Ltd are currently seeking a warehouse manager to join our expanding business

Robinsons are a leading Engineering company who specialise in the manufacturing of trailers, tippers, truck bodies and cranes. Based in Portnahinch, Portarlington, Co Laois R32 CD40 with sales locally and overseas.

Duties include

We are looking for someone who has good all round experience dealing with a busy production plant. Strong attention to detail is required for this role.

1. Dealing with parts -high volume of different parts coming in and going out.

2. Knowledge of the actual parts, so preferably someone from motor trade, manufacturing etc. that knows what the parts are axles, wheels, bolts etc.

3. Ability to drive fork truck to load and unload & organise paper work in timely manner

4. Experience unloading oversized pallets and stillages.

5. Be able to talk to the customer and to understand the technicalities of what part they are looking for and organise paper work to dispatch items.

6. Stock counting experience

7. Stock organisation skills - Leading to using software package to allocate and forecast future stock requirements

8. Proactive in organising the stores to be its most efficient in terms of assembly bay picking for manufacturing and goods out for customers.

9. General maintenance duties around the factory as observed.

10. Issue Purchase orders for consumables and other stock as required.

11. Supervise junior member of the stores team.

Full training will be provided.

Requirements:

• Must have a good working knowledge of machinery.
• Similar experience in a busy manufacturing environment is ideal
• Knowledge of Engineering, plant machinery or Agricultural machinery is an advantage.
• Ability to manage team members.
• Proficient on computer operation.
• Must have experience in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel
• Excellent communication skills.
